A true romantic myself, I understand all too well the enchantment of a good storybook. My photography is your story — its language is your joy, your laughter, your realest Self.
I naturally gravitate toward clients who allow me into their inner circle. Mine is a profession built on trust. In a way, I’m an invisible friend — one who is entirely present but also able to be comfortable with you when you let down your guard.
True, we may live in a digital age...but photography is a tactile craft. Always has been, always will be. Whether it’s the most important day of your life or a quieter milestone, your photographs will eventually become your artifacts; they’re meant to be printed and displayed. All sessions include hand-edited high resolution images, including an online gallery with download pin and copyright release. That said, clients are encouraged to select fine art albums and premium print services.
When we first discovered Matt, I loved all of his work. After meeting with him, we immediately had a connection with his photographic style, and, equally, his personality. Matt is a true professional, a perfectionist, flexible, and a natural talent. He goes above and beyond his job. I mean…he made my baby a flower crown and even bought me mascara once because I had forgotten it! You can tell he puts in a lot of time and detail setting up locations and editing photos. One of my favorite things about Matt is how wonderful he is with our kids. They love him and always ask about him. Even on those days where my kids are cranky on a photoshoot, Matt can always get something out of them, and it's always amazing. He gets those precious moments when you don't even know he's shooting. He is helping us capture our precious memories of our family forever.
Choosing Matt as our wedding photographer was one of the best choices I made — aside from choosing to marry Tyler! Matt's images embodied everything I wanted our wedding pictures (and engagement pictures and bridal portraits!) to be: timeless and Southern, but also very much "us". Every time I look through our wedding photographs, even over one year later, I fall in love all over again. Matt was flexible yet organized which made Tyler and I, our families, and our large bridal party feel at ease and relaxed on our wedding day. He had great ideas, not only for photography but for the wedding in general. Matt was not just our photographer, he became our friend.
Matt started taking pictures for my family eight years ago. He has always been patient for the new born stages, feedings, locations, and moods that come with having children. He’s been great to shoot on locations and areas that are symbolic to us. He thinks outside the box to create the perfect setting. He makes the people & their personalities the subject in a picture — the location is just an accessory.
Matt has always given a custom session for babies, family, engagements, holidays, seasons, and weddings. But we’re most excited for our next session with him to celebrate the adoption process and welcoming a newborn to our family! Just know this: If it's important to you, Matt will make it important to him.
My husband and I met Matt several years ago during our engagement session. Initially, we chose him for his amazing work, but it didn’t take us long to realize that we weren’t just getting a service — we were getting a whole experience. Several years and sessions passed with wedding discussions in the air. We tossed around the idea of a destination wedding since Matt had already mentioned that he would travel anywhere with us. Matt knew I was not a “bride” bride and didn’t really want to plan…anything! I wanted to show up, look good, and have fun. That’s when he suggested we have a staged elopement. We were sold and started discussing the details. Honestly, he probably put in more planning than my husband and I combined! Matt was my sounding board for everything from my dress, down to the tiniest detail.
